My birthday is a week from today!
When JB mentioned that he was thinking of getting me a docking station for new MacBook Air as a birthday present, I suggested he buy me something a little less…practical. Not that I didn’t appreciate the thought, of course! But I think birthday gifts should be fun and frivolous, don’t you? Something you’ve had your eye on but wouldn’t normally buy yourself. Are you with me on this?
So what would make a really awesome birthday present this year? I have no idea! I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had much time for window shopping or Internet browsing. Plus, it turns out I’m frugal even when I’m just looking; I feel guilty adding items to a wishlist if they aren’t on sale or cost over a certain amount.
Maybe you can help inspire me: What the last gift you’ve received that you really, really loved? Or, what would you really love to receive on your next birthday?
PS: Happy birthday, Grandma!

My husband always asks for frivolous gifts. I always feel bad asking for frivolous if there’s something practical I really need. Not that I don’t like it if I do get something frivolous!
If I recall correctly, we have the same birthday (I think even the same birth year). Happy almost birthday!

Happy almost-birthday to you, too! Hope you get something practical this year 😉
