I don’t normally use my iPad 2 as a camera (the picture quality is terrible), which is why I never remember to look through the photos I’ve taken with it. But I took a spontaneous trip down memory lane last night and found this sweet iPad photo of Levi as an itty bitty baby. Look, he’s smiling in his sleep!
watch it wednesdays: levi scats
You’ve heard of Wordless Wednesdays? That’s when bloggers post a slew of photos without text midweek. This is Watch it Wednesdays, a (potential) new weekly series featuring short video clips of my family.
Inspired by the response of the first two videos I posted (here and here), I’ve decided to feature my mini home movies on a regular basis. These are spontaneous videos I record and edit on my iPhone that would otherwise just live in my camera roll, taking up precious memory.
If I don’t have a particularly entertaining clip to share or if I sense we’re all getting a little burnt out, I’ll skip a week. There are no hard and fast rules here! I could have waited to launch this series until I fine tuned all of the details, but, knowing me, it never would have taken off. I’m willing to go with the flow on this one. Are you?
Enjoy!
my messy eater
When we first started feeding Levi solid food, he would bat at the spoon as it came toward his mouth, resulting in baby oatmeal splattered all over his face, arms and high chair tray. Now he wildly reaches for it as I’m feeding him mushy fruits, vegetable and meat combinations, trying to stick the spoon in his mouth unassisted. Every couple of bites I let him play with it…even though that means I’m stuck cleaning up a bigger mess than if I just held the spoon the entire time.
I’m okay with wiping down him and his high chair after each meal, but what really annoys me is when his clothing gets dirty. Look at all of the food stuck to his neck! Somehow that mush migrates onto the collar of his shirts and onesies, prompting frequent post-feeding outfit changes. I thought bibs are supposed to prevent messy clothing! Or am I using the wrong type of bib?
Tell me: How messy are your little ones when they eat?
