My dad flew into Omaha to join us for the holiday weekend, and on July 4th we went to Red Mango for a late afternoon treat. After sitting down with my cup of tart yogurt overflowing with chocolate candy, Fruity Pebbles and mini gummy bears (bottom right), I had the following exchange with my dad:
Me: I think my eyes are bigger than my stomach.
Dad (looking at my baby bump): I don’t think your eyes are bigger than your stomach.
Touché.

I would agree with you — there is such a thing as too much Red Mango. I find their yogurt to be almost too creamy and it fills me up very, very fast. We have a local chain thats salads and tangy yogurt and they have my favorite frozen yogurt of all the tangies. (I think I just made up a word there.) Anyway – they only have one unsweetened flavor and they make it from Stoneyfield yogurt (which is not my favorite regular yogurt so go figure). It’s amazing — but in my opinion, it only mixes well with fruit or granola.

I have a love/hate relationship with the “tangies.” I don’t like it plain and I don’t like it chocolate flavored. I prefer it to be a fruit flavor, but I’ll top it with just about anything 😉

There is NO such thing as too much frozen yogurt. I’m addicted and would eat it twice a day if I could! Looks great!

I agree–there’s no such thing as too much fro yo, but I think it MAY be possible to have too much tart frozen yogurt. It doesn’t replace good ol’ chocolate and vanilla, and I have to be in the mood for it.
