Growing a small blog (#growingasmallblog)

June 4, 2014

#growingasmallblog

In two weeks from today, Alt Summit will be kicking off its first summer event in Salt Lake City.

And in two weeks from tomorrow, I’ll be taking the stage (erm, podium) at Alt Summit with four of my blogging gal pals.

Public speaking. Eek!

Melissa, Tan, Ciera, Mariah, and I will be talking about Growing a Small Blog, a panel idea we pitched to Alt Summit back in early March. We’ll be discussing all the ways that new bloggers can grow their readership, including tips and tricks we’ve learned from our personal experiences. Since none of us are big-name bloggers (yet!), we hope that our success stories inspire other bloggers just starting out.

As we put the finishing touches on our presentation, we’d love to know what specific questions you have about growing a small blog. Tweet us with the hashtag #growingasmallblog, and we’ll be sure to answer your question during our panel.

And if you’ll be attending Alt SLC in two weeks, leave a comment below — I’d love to meet you!

PS – A downloadable pre-event checklist to prepare for networking at Alt.

First of all, congrats on speaking at Alt in a couple of weeks! As a fellow small blogger myself, this is one of the sessions I’m most looking forward to attending! As much as I love blogging whether I have 20 or 200 views on a post, it can get a little discouraging. How do you stay focused on the positives while growing your blog? The other question is more general – how can I grow my Bloglovin followers? My family and friends read pretty faithfully, but I’ve yet to make connections with other bloggers. Thanks so much for pitching this topic to Alt. I can’t wait to meet you and hear your words of wisdom!

This is so cool, PJ! I’m really excited for you that you get to speak at Alt Summit. What a great opportunity! I certainly know that I’d love to sneak in and soak up all of the good info you and your fellow panelists will offer.
