Follow Friday: Instagram Fashion Favorites | A Girl Named PJ

I don’t read a lot of fashion blogs. I just can’t relate when they’re too perfectly dressed, perfectly coiffed, and perfectly posed (usually in the middle of a busy city street).

That’s not to say I don’t find sartorial inspiration in other places – like my Instagram feed. I follow several fashionable bloggers, each with covetable wardrobes, who regularly introduce me to new brands or different ways of wearing garments I already own. Here are three of my favorite stylish Instagrammers to follow.

@gabyburger is a fashion blogger from Toronto, and of the three, her style is most similar to mine. I love how she mixes prints and textures to create chic yet comfortable outfits. Plus, we wear many of the same brands, making her looks the most attainable.

@couldihavethat is the kind of girl I usually find intimidating: beautiful and well dressed! The brands she wears skew more on the higher end, but her look is so tailored and simple that her outfits could easily be copied wearing more affordable lines. Additionally, she may be the most stylish pregnant person I’ve ever seen!

@dallasshaw has the coolest job in the world. She’s a fashion illustrator with clients that include DKNY, Oscar De La Renta, and Anthropologie. Her artistic flair is apparent in what she wears; she has a “more is more” kind of style that I can appreciate, even though I don’t typically dress that way myself.

Are you on Instagram? If so, please find me (I’m @pjfeinstein) so we can follow each other! And I’d love to know which fashionable Instagrammers you enjoy following. Who are your favorites?

This post reminded me that manicures + cute rings are often overlooked in my daily attire. I need to up the game in 2015 🙂

I almost always have my nails painted…because if I don’t, I’d bite them. I would like to own/wear more rings though. The baby can’t pull or rip rings like he can necklaces and earrings!

Day 12 | No photos from today (well none worth sharing) because I sat in front of my laptop from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. working on deadline. My busy work day also meant that my kids didnt get very much of my attention. My husband kept them occupied for some of the day but I dont think they got any schoolwork done. Oh well we all deserve a lazy day every once in a while. I know I do! | So whats this photo? Just some of the amazing birthday presents I received from my friends this weekend! (Dont worrDay 11 | Emotions have been running high the past two days and everyone has a short fuse. Asa had a full-on temper tantrum because he didnt want to color his drawing of a rainbow and nearly lost his cool while practicing Typing Club. I wish I could do more educational activities with them like taking alphabet walks and tallying up different items around the house but Im totally overwhelmed with a huge deadline this week. In fact I had to keep working after the kids went to bed and now its nearlyC-Quarantine Day 8 | Ive felt anxious many days this past week but today was the first day I had the blues. Not sad about anything specific. Just ... sad. Cabin fever? Exhaustion? We decided to get out of the house to look at the cherry blossoms in Bethesda. The Kenwood neighborhood was quiet so we parked and walked down a side street keeping our distance from the few other people out and about. But with cars parked on one side of the road and moving cars to trying to pass them & the pedestriansOn the first day of #socialdistancing my true love made for me Nutella-filled croissantsyummy! On the second day of social distancing my true love made for me banana muffins with a crumb topping. On the third day... Nope. Tomorrow we work from home/homeschool our kids so its cereal for everyone! #onedaycv #covidquarantine
