I just realized that I don’t have books on my baby registry! Despite a stint working in publishing, I’m so out of the loop when it comes to the hottest trends in children’s books. Besides Dr. Seuss’s greatest hits, which titles do you think are must-haves for my little guy’s personal library?

W loves “That’s Not My Puppy” (though “If I Were A Puppy” stands in in a pinch). And I can’t recommend highly enough an Indestructible book: http://www.indestructiblesinc.com/ We have Hey Diddle Diddle and the little man eats it every day.

We are big fans of Sandra boyton. They are board books with cute song type stories such as it’s pajama time, but not the hippopotamus, snuggly puppy in which you sing a song that requires a kiss at the end. It is ung like three times during the book and my son always puckers for a kiss!!!
Ps for my shower my mother asked people to bring a book which jump started my collection

The Tawny Scrawny Lion, The Pokey Little Puppy… pretty much anything from Golden Books.
