Since we haven’t shared the baby’s name with anybody, we still have time to change our minds. Perhaps we should let our little man choose his own name with the Kick to Pick app for the iPhone!
Did you share your baby’s name with family or friends before he or she was born?

We did with our first. My mom ended up stitching his name onto a Christmas stocking and pretty much solidified his name! It was fine since we were positive we wanted to name him Nathan, but what if we changed our mind? With the second we only told a few people. With the third we didn’t peep a word until he came out! 🙂

No way! 🙂 We don’t know if we’re having a boy or girl yet, but ARE planning on finding out (if baby cooperates) and will share that info. Which I’m hoping does not result in a flurry of pink and bows or blue and trucks (or equally stereotypical things). But we will not be sharing names. Or ideas. At. all. We are perfectly capable of choosing our child’s name without the opinions of others. And goodness knows the grandparents–all 6 of them!–are full of opinions.

That is exactly why we have chosen not to share our baby’s name (or any of the ones we were considering) with family or friends. We know that most people wouldn’t be able to keep their opinions to themselves, and we just didn’t want feedback or suggestions. Our goal was to pick a name that we loved and that we thought would suit our little guy. Don’t really care what other people like!!
