how to prevent diaper blowouts

September 21, 2011

baby-wearing-size-2-diapers

Saturday night we put Levi in size 2 diapers with the hope that they would prevent what have recently become daily morning blowouts. He looked ridiculous in them! The crotch hung down to his ankles and the back basically came up to his shoulder blades. Our wee sumo wrestler!

Wouldn’t you know, Sunday morning was the first time in over a week that he didn’t poop after his AM feeding. Go figure! But when he did poop later that day…no blowouts! And let me tell you, baby guy lets ’em rip with quite the force. But since then, we haven’t had to rinse out any dirty pajamas caused from powerful pooping.

While we’re on the subject of poop…I thought breastfed kids were supposed to have odorless bowel movements. Not ours! Mr. Levi’s are surprisingly stinky.

I still can’t believe how quickly baby guy outgrew his size 1 Pampers. How old are your kids and what size diapers do they wear?

Hi there outstanding website! Does running a blog such as this take a lot of work?
I’ve no understanding of coding but I was hoping to start my own blog soon. Anyway, should you have any recommendations or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off subject however I just wanted to ask. Many thanks!

Day 12 | No photos from today (well none worth sharing) because I sat in front of my laptop from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. working on deadline. My busy work day also meant that my kids didnt get very much of my attention. My husband kept them occupied for some of the day but I dont think they got any schoolwork done. Oh well we all deserve a lazy day every once in a while. I know I do! | So whats this photo? Just some of the amazing birthday presents I received from my friends this weekend! Asa had a full-on temper tantrum because he didnt want to color his drawing of a rainbow and nearly lost his cool while practicing Typing Club. I wish I could do more educational activities with them like taking alphabet walks and tallying up different items around the house but Im totally overwhelmed with a huge deadline this week. Not sad about anything specific. Just ... sad. Cabin fever? Exhaustion? We decided to get out of the house to look at the cherry blossoms in Bethesda. The Kenwood neighborhood was quiet so we parked and walked down a side street keeping our distance from the few other people out and about.
