While I take some time to bond with my little man, please enjoy guest posts written by moms and moms-to-be from some of my favorite blogs. Today, I’m happy to introduce Heather from The Coterie!
As I was getting ready to have my first baby there were a lot of things I thought I needed, but came to find out I really didn’t. There were also a lot of items that I ended up buying afterward or had been given to me as gifts that are absolute essentials! As I’m getting ready to have my second son in a couple of weeks, I’m checking my list twice, making sure I have all my favorite items in order before he arrives! Here’s the list:
-Super soft, light weight, easy to swaddle, and easy to store.
Lots of newborn gowns for sleeping
-Cozy, and easy for changing diapers in the middle of the night. No snaps or zippers. Adorable too!
Changing table WITH drawers (I’m using a dresser and just putting a changing pad on top)
– After my first baby, I realized I didn’t like my mess underneath the table exposed. Now with my second, I’m going for a clean look with drawers.
-Best gift EVER! My friend told me to cut them up into about 8×8 squares and always have one on your changing pad for when you have a leak or blowout. Rather than having to change your changing pad cover, you just throw the little square that the “mess” got on into the wash and you’re done! LIFESAVER! It has a thin plastic layer in between the fabric so it doesn’t leak through to the pad, either!
What essentials did you swear by when you had a baby?
