Here’s a look back at the week (and weekend!) that was…
We moved our toys to the living room while the basement was being painted.
We made frozen margaritas on Cinco de Mayo but immediately dumped them because they were disgusting.
We played with our Chanukah menorah puzzle on the rug in front of the door.
(How very Montessori of us.)
We discovered that California Baby bubble bath makes way more bubbles than Aveeno Baby.
(We also made our first bubble beard!)
We had a pretend picnic in the backyard…
…and a real picnic at Costco.
We also tried on life jackets and swim floaties in preparation for our upcoming vacation.
We watched our new favorite show, Super WHY!, while wearing camo and holding an unwrapped toothbrush.
We finally tasted Birthday Cake Oreos. (Yay, sprinkles!)
I’m so excited for the weekend! Tomorrow afternoon you’ll find me at the spa, a combination birthday/Mother’s Day gift from JB. I very rarely treat myself to a massage, and the last time I had more than one spa treatment performed in a single visit was back when I was pregnant. I can’t even imagine how relaxing it will feel to be pampered for the entire afternoon…
On Sunday we’re meeting friends for brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. JB was deployed over Mother’s Day last year, and my friend’s husband was away for business, so she and I and our infant sons enjoyed brunch at the same restaurant. I love how it’s now become our little tradition.
I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, and happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day! I can see you more in Levi’s face now that he’s older. It’s also nice to see Levi and Briscoe together – glad they are friends again. And enjoy the spa!

Spa Day was made possible in part by a generous gift certificate I received after Levi was born! (Finally!)
