Bunny & Dolly Holiday Gift Guide: Picture Books

November 20, 2012

I’m delighted to share with you a brand new gift guide featuring some of my favorite hardcover picture books for children ages 4 and up. Perfect as a holiday or birthday present, each captures the attention of even the youngest readers with engaging stories and eye-catching, artistic illustrations. And since moms and dads are the ones who will most like be reading them to our children over and over and over again, I picked books that parents will find equally charming.

Here are 8 picture books perfect for bigger kids!

Top row: Those Darn Squirrels! by Adam Rubin, Little Owl Lost by Chris Haughton

Middle row: Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett, Dinothesaurus: Prehistoric Poems and Paintings by Douglas Florian, Chopsticks by Amy Krouse Rosenthal

Bottom row: Good Night, World by Willa Perlman, The Umbrella by Dieter Schubert, Woof: A Love Story by Sarah Weeks

I’ll be sharing one more picture book later today on Bunny & Dolly’s Facebook page!

PS: Eight board books for toddlers! And thank you, Rachael, for inspiring today’s and yesterday’s post.

Extra Yarn and Good Night, World are some of our favorites, too! Love your selections from both posts.

It is important to pick books that parents will like, too! I can’t wait to read these–looks like a wonderful list!
