My Lifetime Moms post this week featured some of my favorite “pink” products that give back to breast cancer awareness charities. Check them out here.

Crazy cool libraries around the world
These are some of the craziest libraries I’ve every seen! How do you feel about super architectural or contemporary libraries? I’m afraid that some of the more modern ones would feel too sterile inside. In my mind, libraries should be somewhat cozy.
Do you patronize your local library? Omaha has a really terrific public library system. Earlier this week, Levi and I dropped by ours to return and pick up some children’s books. This morning we attended a story time session geared towards toddlers. Unfortunately, the kids in attendance were a bit older than we had expected, but my friend and her 16-month-old daughter met us there and we had fun socializing with them.
One of the coolest things about the Omaha Public Library is that they now have an app, so you can search for books, place holds and check due dates. Right now I have a hold on Gone Girl: A Novel–have you read it?
Have a lovely weekend!
PS: This is one of Levi’s most-read books and a list of parenting books I’d still like to read.
Shopping // Tea Collection Sale
Do you shop flash sale sites like Zulily or Gilt? I try to remember to check them daily to see if any of my favorite brands are listed, but I frequently end up finding things only for Levi. I’ve purchased some seriously adorable children’s clothing on Zulily, including the long-sleeve shirt from Tea Collection that Levi’s wearing in the photos above.
I try to never pay full price on clothes for Levi since the likelihood that he will somehow stain them is very high. However, designer brands do make really cute baby clothing, and the ones I buy at a discount on flash sale sites usually become my favorite pieces in Levi’s wardrobe. Unfortunately, the clothing brands I prefer don’t appear very often, and when they do, they offer only a limited selection of their line.
Meh.
But every once in a while I’ll go straight to the source and get lucky: Tea Collection, one of my favorite baby and toddler brands, is offering new markdown items at up to 25% off. Now that I know Levi will be wearing size 12-18 months at least through the winter (he’s still a small dude), I can stock up on some shirts and pants. I love how their designs are kid-friendly without being too childish, if that makes any sense.
Their sale starts today, so go check it out before I buy all of the toddler boy clothing!

the tickle spot
JB said the other day that he’s happy Levi’s tickle spot “has been activated.” I thought it was a funny but accurate way of describing Levi’s newest milestone. Tickling Levi’s armpits or inner thighs is guaranteed to provoke hysterical laughing, and sometimes tickling the small of his back will give him the giggles, too.
However, like his mama, Levi’s feet don’t appear to be a tickle spot. Yet…
Is your toddler ticklish? Do you remember when your little one’s tickle spot activated?
And because there’s nothing better than the sound of a baby laughing, here’s a video of an itty bitty Levi giggling at his reflection and one of him having fun with a toy.
My toddler’s got moves like Jagger
Since Columbus Day is a federal holiday, I was able to justify taking yesterday off from blogging. My parents were in town, and we still had a couple things we wanted to do together. Plus, JB started complaining of a sore throat yesterday just as Levi’s sniffles and cough were beginning to clear up.
If it’s not one baby, it’s the other, right?
As I work on editing photos from our visit to Vala’s Pumpkin Patch, you should watch this adorable video of Levi that my dad recorded over the weekend. We were all hanging out in the basement/playroom and randomly asked Levi to dance. To our surprise, he did! Watching his booty bouncing, we were hysterical. My boy’s got moves like Jagger!
