Remember that extra hour of sleep we were supposed to have gotten this weekend because of Daylight Saving Time? Apparently, my kids didn’t get the memo. Did yours?
Now, I’m in a serious mondaze. You know, that hazy or dazed feeling you get on a Monday. Also known as having “a case of the Mondays.”

Yeah… no. The preschooler is totally glazed over at the end of the day. The toddler is taking mega afternoon naps to compensate for the extra wakeful hour in the morning. His nap ends just before our new sunset, so now we aren’t able to bike off to the playground before dinner. Darkness probably falls earlier where you are… how are you handling that?

Levi’s nap schedule has been totally screwed up since we moved to NJ. At first, he didn’t want to nap at all! I think was too excited about being here.
Back in Omaha, his morning at school ended at 11:30, so I could try to get in bed for a nap between 1-1:30. However, he now goes until 1pm, so he’s in ready to sleep until 2:30 (give or take). He’s also an epic napper and can sleep until 5-5:30! I love the quiet in the afternoon, and he’s terribly cranky if you try to wake him, but that means he doesn’t go to bed at night until 8:30pm. That’s WAY too late — especially those nights when he doesn’t fall asleep until after 9pm.
So basically, we aren’t handling it. Blerg.
