Today we’re off to the Jersey Shore outlets! I have mixed feelings about outlet shopping. On one hand, I love that you can update your wardrobe for much less than it would cost to pay retail. On the other hand, many outlet stores stock slightly outdated or irregular merchandise made from material of a lesser quality. That’s how they can afford to sell it at such low price, after all.
You just have to know which outlet stores to shop — and which to avoid.
For example, we tend to skip the Banana Republic outlet but always hit up J.Crew Factory. According to their website (yes, you can buy their outlet merchandise online!), they design exclusively for Factory — “no outtakes, no leftovers.”
This weekend, J.Crew Factory is offering 50% off women’s and men’s styles and 40% off kid’s styles in stores and online! So even if you can’t get yourself to an outlet mall to take advantage of Columbus Day sales, you can still stock up on fall and winter essentials.
Here are my Factory sale picks — and what I’ll be looking for in-person today!
- Tweed-sleeve top
- Midrise skinny jean
- Colorblock sweatshirt
- Suede ankle booties
- City coat
- Skinny jean
- Colorblock skirt
- Fair Isle sweater
- Leopard-print loafers

Those suede booties are lovely! I have similar thoughts on outlet shopping. I also feel as though I can find similar deals at the regular stores if I watch for sales.

I saw the boots in person, and they really are great!

Oh good! I’ve been waiting for them to have a sale. T. needs some new henley shirts and JCrew Factory has the only ones he likes. Something about the small buttons…

So did he stock up on henleys? JB did pretty well for himself at the Factory store on Friday.
Maria
Nice slippers and sweater!
Lots of love, xx
