Hi, I’m PJ Feinstein!
I speak fluent pop culture, prefer to buy instead of DIY, and once had a style question printed in Lucky magazine. I like my Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee with cream and sugar, find shopping for shoes just as frustrating as shopping for jeans, and need subtitles to watch Downton Abbey.
In 2007, I moved from New York City to Nebraska and started a blog called Somewhere in Middle America to chronicle my transition from newly engaged girl living in Manhattan to military wife adjusting to the Midwest. Four years later, when I was pregnant with my first son, I launched a mother and baby lifestyle blog called Bunny & Dolly. That blog transitioned into A Girl Named PJ in 2014.
In addition to blogging, I’m a freelance writer, editor, and content creator. My work has appeared on Cool Mom Picks, BHG.com, and The Neighborhood, among other online and print publications. A long time ago, I was a publicist at a New York City publishing house and a copywriter for an online retailer.
I had the privilege this year of speaking at Alt Summit twice and being interviewed on Sirius XM radio.
My husband separated from the military after 10 years of service, and we’re about to move to Washington, DC with our two sons, Levi (born July 2011) and Asa (born February 2014), and our small white dog, Briscoe, who was named after a Law & Order character.
