As I grow older, I’m beginning to understand that my style personality is less fashion forward and more classic with a twist. Rather than fully commit to each season’s new trends, I’ve been trying to incorporate them into my wardrobe in a more subtle way, like through accessories.
Luckily, these three fall trends are rooted in classic design, so I can feel confident they’ll get a lot of use this season — and future seasons, too.

I want to try the hat, too!

I jumped on the loafer bandwagon this time last year, and I haven’t once regretted it. They are so comfortable. And, currently living in what is basically “the country south” fashion-wise (ie. blingy jeans and cowboy boots) I find myself constantly having to explain my fashion choices. I’ve got it boiled down to what I’d describe as “east-coast campus chic,” a blend of comfy denim, leggings, boots, and fabulous scarves with the occasional carefully crafted doughnut bun thrown in.

“East Coast Campus Chic” — love that description! I’m all about loafers, especially since I’ve never really been a high-heel kind of girl. However, I can’t NOT wear socks during the winter, so I might have to switch ’em up for boots when the weather gets too cold.
